"For our present troubles produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them, and will last forever!" 2 Corinthians 4:17 (NLT)
This was the final song to be written for the new record. There is an undeniable longing and hope in this song, which I guess helps to balance some of the more sorrow-filled songs (laments?) that are also represented here.
I had always hoped that this album would be honest and authentic, and representative of the entire Christian life - one in which our God uses the full spectrum of colors (emotions, experiences) at his disposal to shape us and make us more like His Son, Jesus.
The shift from hopelessness to hope, and the belief that one day all those things that trouble us now, are preparing for us a Glory that will never fade, rust or be stolen.
